Car Free Day 2020
How was your street during lockdown? Quieter? Friendlier? Safer for walking, cycling and playing? Cleaner air? Well, guess what? You don’t need a pandemic to make all that happen again.
Play streets allow you to open your street – temporarily but regularly – for safe play and community interactions. And in many London boroughs you can try it out for free, this Car Free Day – Sunday 20 September.
World Car Free Day WILL be marked on Sunday 20 September. And although it's not quite what we might have envisaged at the beginning of the year, in many boroughs you can still take part in a small but meaningful way by applying to open your street for play on the day.
The process varies from borough to borough but will involve consulting your neighbours and applying to the council well in advance of the day. So get started now - click here to get in touch and find out more.
