Europe-Wide Conference On The Child’s Right To Play

We are pleased to announce a two day conference on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th May, 2019 looking at the Child’s Right to Play,  Article 31 and General Comment 17. The conference will take place in central London, half way in time and space between the IPA Calgary and Jaipur triennial conferences.

In partnership with IPA colleagues across Europe we will explore the cutting edge of play theory and practice, as well as present innovative thinking in Children’s Play. A variety of  keynotes, workshops and academic papers will be delivered.

Keynote panels will be chaired by Michael Rosen, Professor of Children’s Literature, Goldsmiths, University of London, and Dr Wendy Russell, Senior Lecturer in Play and Playwork, University of Gloucestershire.
