Together A-Kart
Go Kart Build and Race

London Play’s popular Go Kart and Girl Kart events are going ahead (!) – with a few changes. This year we will be running a combined ‘together a-kart’ event.  The London Play team will visit three adventure playgrounds over three consecutive days and work with 'bubbles' of children to build and race two go karts on each site.  The races will be timed and filmed to find an overall winner. Prize is a fantastic trip to Buckmore Park karting track for some real rpm.

We are looking for three  adventure playgrounds willing to host and take part in this event on Monday 24th, Tuesday 25th or Wednesday 26th August.  All tools and materials provided. Participating playgrounds will need to drum up two teams of around 6 or 7 children and a suitable area we can use to race, around 50 m long (this could be a small quiet road).  Interested? Please email Catherine catherine@londonplay.org.uk by Friday 17th July

We are very grateful for the generous sponsorship of the Manufacturing Technologies Association and the Henry Surtees Foundation in making this Covid-friendly event possible.
