These events are targeted in the specified play zones for children where opportunities for free play are not readily accessible.
The mobile play workers take Play Trailers to events in the Borough and help to publicise the play services available to children and young people. POP supports and works with other play organisations in the Borough.
The HIPHOP project is an Inclusion and Play Outreach Programme delivering free play opportunities for children and young people who are experiencing barriers to free play because of their physical, social or cultural circumstances. HIPHOP will work with children who are classed as 'vulnerable' as stated in the Play Strategy. HIPHOP will target its play offer to disadvantaged children, children with additional needs, children of asylum seeking families, refugees, travellers, looked after children, young carers and children affected by domestic violence.
