Fundraising for play

The key to successful fundraising is being creative about your approach and looking objectively and analytically at your work programmes to establish a 'fit' with a new funding opportunity. A play service is not just about play for children.

The play service could be about increasing opportunities for disabled children, helping to increase levels of confidence and self esteem of children living in a deprived area - this could then have added benefits with regards to schooling. There are the much mooted links with crime reduction which again can be brought into your funding application. You may be using volunteers and therefore developing skills of the local workforce (you could then apply to an employment / adult skills funding pot).
