Q&As on the BIG Funding for Play March 2007

29 March 2007

These questions and answers were developed by the BIG Lottery management team as a result of regional seminars conducted at the beginning of 2007. They clarify and in some cases supersede the original guidance published in March 2006. For example it is now conceded that some projects in the bid may be justifiably less than £50,000 minimum size originally recommended.

Most importantly they flag up that if strategy and bids can be finished and sent in early, the BIG Lottery officers can examine them and can get in touch sooner and address any issues with the application earlier (see page 6). They go on to say "You cannot submit drafts, however, you may submit a completed application before the deadline and this will give you time to discuss any issues with the assessing staff and make any amendments before the deadline as necessary" (see page 9).

They go on to suggest further enquiries about this application process should be directed to Philip Davis or Beverly King at the BIG Lottery Birmingham office (0121 345 7700) (see page 7).
